GENERAL PRIVACY NOTICE FOR HCPs
Dear Doctor,
As agreed by you, any Novartis group entity domiciled in your relevant country (“Novartis”) shall use and protect personal data you provide for the below purposes (together referred as the “Purpose”) indicated under this Privacy Notice and Consent Form:
Arrange all types of visits including but not limited to face-to-face and virtual mediums for the purposes of marketing, promoting, presenting and discussing scientific information;
Prepare engagement plans and monitor our medical representatives, and other in-field associates including but not limited to medical science liaisons (MSLs);
Invite you to our sponsored and/or organized events;
Communicate with you by any means available for purposes including but not limited to sharing details of products, products campaigns and circulating brand marketing-related materials;
Manage, plan and execute communications and interactions with you (e.g. through the operation of a database keeping records of interactions with healthcare professionals or managing call planning as well as call reporting);
Provide you with appropriate, adequate and updated information about disease, drugs as well as our products and services;
Improve the quality of our interactions and services by adapting our offering to your specific needs;
documenting transactions and arrangements ensuring transparency on transfer of value;
share surveys for feedback and to help us improve your future interactions with us;
track our activities (e.g. measuring interactions or sales, number of appointments/calls);
manage our IT resources, including infrastructure management and business continuity;
archiving and record keeping;
billing and invoicing; and
any other purposes imposed by law and authorities.
Novartis is committed to ensuring that your personal data is protected and takes all reasonable and appropriate steps to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
Novartis requires this information for the Purpose stated above. This information may be used, stored, processed and/or transferred by Novartis, its affiliate companies located worldwide and/or its authorized agents, service providers for the Purpose only. This means that your personal data may be transferred to another jurisdiction outside of your country, which may not have the same data protection laws, as are applicable in your country. Any transfer of your personal data to another jurisdiction would be carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and regulations, including any amendments or laws passed in substitution of such laws and regulations.
Novartis will not share this information with anyone who is not directly connected with the Purpose. Novartis may store your information on its global network, which is supported by authorized agents of Novartis located in countries around the world. As Novartis, we may make changes to this Privacy Notice and Consent Form from time to time to reflect developments in the law and best practices or in the provision of our services. Please note that you will be informed accordingly and immediately.
Novartis will maintain your above personal information for as long as it is required to do so by applicable law, or for as long as necessary for the Purposes for which it was collected as listed above.
